Culture Recovery Fund: Sova Audio Gets The Nod!

We are delighted to share the news that Sova Audio will be receiving a grant from the Government’s Culture Recovery Fund, in recognition of our position within the community. 

Despite the pandemic wiping out the majority of our income, we have stayed positive and creative, adapting to what was put in front of us. Personal funds were invested, alongside a Bounce Back Loan, to transform our warehouse into a virtual streaming studio delivering high-quality artistic and educational content. It’s a space that will continue to evolve as restrictions loosen and we can all come together again.

By receiving this grant we pledge to commit even more to the communities within our reach. Here are some of the plans... 

• Young people from the Borough of Waltham Forest will be able to attend workshops specialising in how to create, improve and distribute online content, helping to accelerate their careers; 
• We are partnering with Ravensbourne University to deliver off-curriculum events, both live and virtual, featuring leading lecturers and speakers that will bridge the gap between the real-world creative industries and students;
• We will collaborate with our dear partner Netil Radio, in delivering events for under-represented artists and DJ’s.

We are so grateful at Sova Audio to have this opportunity. Supporting the arts and culture is in our DNA.

These grants will help to re-open theatres, concert halls, and museums and will give artists and companies the opportunity to begin making new work. We are grateful to the Government for this support and for recognising the paramount importance of culture to our sense of belonging and identity as individuals and as a society.”
